Elizabeth “Beth” Wagner (she/her)
Hello, I’m Beth. My approach to counseling builds on existing strengths and situates you, the client, as the expert on your own life. I believe that relationships with self, others, and our broader communities are foundational to wellbeing, and encourage exploration of these areas through a trauma-informed, culturally attuned lens. I take a compassionate approach to existing dynamics and coping methods and work alongside you to bring patterns and the emotions that underlie them into conscious awareness. I am affirming of all people, including multicultural, neuroexpansive, 2SLGBTQ+, and polyamorous people and relationships.
As a therapist, I am passionate about helping you connect to yourself, the earth, and the people around you. I especially enjoy working with romantic partners, families, and adult friendships, which are often some of our most important relationships. I use emotions-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems to bring understanding to your current situation and promote change through accountability to your core values. I am a student of Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented method for healing trauma and stress, and work in a trauma-informed way. The natural world has been instrumental in my personal healing and growth process, and I bring elements of ecotherapy and nature into my practice. I also help clients prepare for and integrate plant medicine/psychedelic experiences.
Outside of the office I can be found wandering barefoot around my garden, hiking in the desert, or paddling on the Salt River. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss working together!
