Rachel Nash (she/her)
Hello! My name is Rachel. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and learn more about you as well.
I was born and raised in Arizona and have spent the past five years raising my family and supporting the Flagstaff community. I have two neurodivergent children and a background in working with individuals with high support needs. I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals who have experienced trauma and often face distinct challenges. My dedication to compassionate and inclusive care extends to all individuals, and I strive to create an affirming space where you can explore your intersecting identities, process past experiences, and embrace your most authentic self.
My approach to our time together is relational, strength-based, and person-centered. I am guided by the belief that every person has innate wisdom and truth within them. I see my role as walking alongside individuals as they uncover their strengths and navigate their unique paths to healing. My care is grounded in trauma-informed and somatic healing practices. I draw from therapeutic theories such as Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals reconnect with themselves and their bodies, heal from trauma, and move toward authenticity and wholeness.
I am in the final year of my master’s degree in counseling. Outside the office, you can often find me sipping tea and enjoying meaningful conversations, exploring nature when the weather is warm, or getting lost in the pages of a fantasy book. I believe in the importance of self-care and creativity as integral parts of the healing process and am always looking for ways to bring elements of joy, curiosity, and connection into my life and work.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and be a part of your journey toward healing.
