Treasure Howard (she/her)
Hi, I’m Treasure and I’m excited to be part of your healing journey. I am originally from Utah but have been living most of my life in Arizona. As a queer person, I understand firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and understood. I’m deeply passionate about advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, and I make it a priority to create a space where you can be your authentic self, free from judgment.
I am currently an intern from NAU, working towards my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am trained in ACT and ERP for treating OCD. I also use a mix of approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. I find these methods offer practical ways to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and ultimately create lasting change. Whether we’re working on shifting negative thought patterns, improving emotional regulation, or simply being present with what’s going on in your life, I’ll work alongside you to find what feels right for you.
Beyond therapy, I’m someone who loves to relax and unwind through creative activities. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, painting, and playing cozy video games. I also love reading, whether it’s a thought-provoking book or a lighthearted story, and I find gardening to be incredibly grounding and fulfilling.
My goal as a therapist is to help you discover the strength that’s already within you. Life can be challenging, and we all face tough moments. But I’m here to support you through them, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, past trauma, or just need someone to walk with you as you grow and become more connected to yourself. It’s an honor to be part of your journey, and I’m here for you every step of the way.
