Tana-Marie Gordon (she/her)
Hello and welcome! My name is Tana-Marie (she/her) and I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with two years of experience supporting individuals and families, including teens and adults, through various life challenges. My personal journey with therapy has had such a profound impact on my life that it ultimately inspired me to pursue this path and become a therapist myself. I deeply understand the power of therapeutic work and the difference it can make in one’s life, and it is my privilege to be part of that process for others.
I truly believe that with a therapeutic relationship founded on empathy, trust, and collaboration, we can navigate through even the most difficult challenges. Therapy is not just about addressing problems; it’s about fostering growth, understanding, and healing. It’s about creating space for you to explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences so that you can find clarity and peace in your life.
As your therapist, I view our work together as a partnership where you are the expert on your own life, and I am here to guide and support you. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Talk Therapy, Somatic Work, and Solution-Focused Therapy, to tailor our sessions to your individual needs. These approaches allow us to build emotional resilience, strengthen coping strategies, and empower you to face life's challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.
In my practice, I emphasize the importance of embracing joy and making room for it, even in difficult times. Healing is not just about managing pain, but also about discovering and nurturing moments of joy, connection, and fulfillment. I believe that finding joy is an essential part of the therapeutic journey and an important step in overall well-being.
If you’re experiencing struggles with depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma, or self-esteem issues, I want you to know that I am here to support you every step of the way. I am committed to providing a nonjudgmental, safe, and affirming space where you can be your authentic self. I am also proud to be an LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist, creating a supportive environment for those with diverse identities and experiences.
Therapy doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating; it’s an opportunity to heal, grow, and gain new perspectives on life. I strive to make our work together approachable, relatable, and empowering. Whether you’re looking for help to navigate a specific life challenge, manage ongoing mental health concerns, or simply work toward personal growth and self-compassion, I am here to support you. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and joy.
