Louisa Udall, MSW Student
(she/her)
Hello, I’m Louisa Udall, a cisgender queer woman. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from ASU with minors in Religious Studies and History and am currently a first year Master’s of Social Work Student. I have both personal and professional experience working with neurodivergent children as well as disabled seniors. As I develop my clinical and professional skills I aim to provide intersectional care that accounts for our many identities and needs.
I am passionate about working with people through their religious/spiritual journeys, religious trauma, and experiences of intersecting LGBTQIA+ and religious identities. I have lived experience with Mormonism and Judaism. I would love to support you wherever your path may take you in its unexpected bends and twists.
As someone with Tourette’s Syndrome and who has loved ones who are autistic and/or have ADHD I want to help you advocate for yourself to get necessary accommodations, embrace what makes you whole, and learn coping skills to help you find balance in the hectic nature of life. I don’t believe in the necessity of “fixing” neurodivergence but rather embracing and accommodating the diverse ways our brains work.
None of us can do life alone, I believe that community can be a healing force in our lives. I want to help people find the communities that support them in all of their queerness, disabledness, and every other aspect of themselves. Communities that build them up and in which they can support others in turn.
Finding a therapist that fits your needs can be an anxiety inducing and stressful experience, so let me try to make it a bit easier by telling you a bit about myself. I love hiking, attending fan conventions, and learning new crafts ranging from crochet to book binding. I believe that therapy must acknowledge the systemic ways our society may oppress us to be successful. I aim to be trauma informed in my practice.
